Bob Marks, Partner Bruner Cox
Bruner Cox

Bob currently serves as the President of the Massillon Development Foundation.
He is a partner with Bruner Cox LLP with offices in Belden Village and downtown Akron.
Bob has 37 years of experience providing audit, accounting, tax and consulting services to clients in the manufacturing, construction,wholesale/distribution, service provider and not-for-profit industries. He is in charge of the Firm's assurance services department and oversees the Firm's quality control standards as they relate to the issuance of client financial statements. In addition, he is the director of the Firm's Not-For-Profit Services Group. Bob lives in Massillon with his wife of 34 years, Chris. They have two children, Andrew and Michelle and three grandchildren.

Ted Herncane, Executive Director
Massillon Development Foundation

Ted Herncane is the executive director for the Massillon Development Foundation. He also serves as president of the Massillon WestStark Chamber of Commerce. Prior to these roles he served as Director of Community and Economic Development for the City of Massillon. He is a lifelong Massillon resident – graduating from Massillon Washington High School in 1998. Ted received his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Capital University and his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Akron.

Tim Seifert , President

Tim Seifert is President of Seifert Technologies, Inc and is the current President of MDF. He was born and raised in Massillon, OH and currently resides in Jackson Township with his wife Diana and two children.

Their firm specializes in Engineering, Information Technology and Technical Staffing (www.seifert.com). He is registered in the State of Ohio as a Professional Mechanical Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Akron. Mr. Seifert has over (30) years of experience specializing in Machine Design, Factory Automation, Stress Analysis and 3D CAD Modeling.

John Shultz , VP Business Banking
First National Bank

Born in Massillon, John Shultz has more than 30 years of banking experience in the Stark and Wayne County region. For the past five years, he has held the position of vice president of commercial banking working out of the Downtown Massillon office.Previously, he worked in all areas of lending for First National Bank in Massillon. John is the current treasurer of MDF.

John graduated from Ohio Northern University with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He has also graduated from many banking schools including the ABA National Commercial Lending Graduate School. John is currently a board member of the United Way of Greater Stark County, Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce and Massillon Development Foundation. He is also a member of the Massillon Rotary Club. He resides in the Dalton area.

Bill Schumacher, Senior Vice President
WestField Bank

Bill Schumacher is a lifelong resident of Canton/Stark County, having graduated from Perry High School in Perry Township in 1978 and the University of Mount Union in 1982. Bill is the immediate Past President of MDF. His 32 plus years in banking began after graduation and have all been in the Canton/Stark County Market. Bill's banking career started off as a branch management trainee and then Branch Manager before transitioning into Commercial Lending in 1988. His current position with Westfield Bank is Senior Vice President Market Leader for the Stark County Market. He is responsible for the overall growth of loans and deposits for this market. .
He has been very active in both Civic and Community involvements over the years including leadership roles at the University of Mount Union- Vice President Alumni Association Board of Trustees,Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation,Past President of the Crisis Intervention & Recovery Center, and the Stark Development Board Finance Corporation. Bill has in the past served on the Board of the Massillon Automobile Club, and was the Chairman of the Massillon Chamber of Commerce, the President of the Board for the Northeast Community Center and Chaired the United Way of Western Stark County Annual Fund Drive.
Bill and his his wife Kathy have two grown sons and one grandchild.

Dave Evans, Key Account Manager

Dave Evans has been a Key Account Manager / Gas Business Development Representative for Dominion East Ohio since 1995. In this capacity, he manages the relationships and construction activities with the largest industrial customers in both Stark and Wayne counties as well as those in their entire West Ohio division. During the last 28 years with Dominion he worked as an industrial Process Specialist, Account Manager for H.V.A.C. dealers, and a Commercial Sales representative. In these positions, he’s worked extensively throughout the entire Northeast and Western Ohio area. Dave, a Massillon native and a University of Akron graduate, has been happily married to Ellie, his high school sweetheart, for the past 41 years. Ellie’s been the principal’s secretary at Tuslaw High School for the past 26 years. They have always lived in the Massillon area. They are active members of the Massillon Church of Christ.Dave and Ellie have three children, two which are also University of Akron graduates and one Malone College graduate. Their kids are all professionals, living and working in Stark County. The Evans’ have seven active grand-children.

Fred Horner, CEO

Fred Horner is the President/CEO Fred is a past President of the Ohio Roofing Contractors Association and is now serving on the Board of Directors. He is currently part of the Ohio Roofing Contractors Association Safety, Insurance and Legislative Committees as well as the Legislative Committee for the Massillon Chamber of Commerce. He is on the NFIB Ohio's Leadership Council and is the Vice President and executive Board member for the Builders Exchange of Northeast Ohio. Additionally, he was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association. Fred has 42 years of industrial and commercial roofing experience.

Bob Gessner, President

Robert Gessner is President of MCTV (formerly known as Massillon Cable TV) a family-owned company serving 47,000 Basic customers in two Northeast Ohio systems. Bob also serves as President of Massillon Cable Communications, an Internet Service Provider that serves 38,000 homes and businesses with cable modem, dial-up, dedicated fiber and co-location services in a six county area. Digital Phone service has been available since 2005. There are currently more than 19,000 Massillon Cable TV and Clear Picture customers with Digital Phone service.

Bob earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the College of William & Mary in Virginia.He began his cable career in 1979 when he returned to his hometown to be Massillon Cable TV’s Marketing Manager; launching HBO and instituting the company’s first computer customer billing system.

Bob is currently Chairman of the American Cable Association ACA Board of Directors. He is also an active Board Member and past President of the Ohio Cable Telecommunications. Bob is also the past Chairman of the Board of the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC).Bob currently serves on many local boards including Stark Development Board, the Spring Hill Historic Home, and the Health Foundation of Greater Massillon.

Bob and his wife Nancy have two adult daughters, and two grandchildren.

Dana Heffner, External Affairs Area Manager

Dana, a native of Akron, OH, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Akron, and serves as the FirstEnergy Area Manager for Local Affairs & Economic Development. At age 24 Dana joined the Information Technology group for FirstEnergy in 2000. Dana was promoted internally through various departments including Workforce Planning, Business Analytics, Supply Chain and FirstEnergy Solutions as the Residential Sales Lead for the Sales and Marketing group and has served on a variety of special projects. In January 2014, Dana was promoted to External Affairs Area Manager for Stark, Portage and Wayne counties.Dana enjoys taking an active role in the community and is a member of the Massillon Rotary Club, Alliance Chamber of Commerce, Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce, Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce and the Kent Chamber of Commerce. Dana also volunteers on the United Way of Stark County Corporate Markets sub-committee as well as the Stark Development Board 2015-2018 Fund Drive.

Kim Schumacher is the President of Schumacher Construction Company. Kim is a graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Schumacher Construction is a general construction company focusing on commercial,industrial and institutional facilities. Kim is a certified Leed AP professional by the Green Building Certification Institute. The Schumacher family is active in the community and has received the Harold Bostic Award for their special efforts in improving economic development in the Massillon area.They were also recognized two times by the Massillon Chamber.

Nancy is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg,Va. She is very active in the community and is the current Chairman of the Board for the West Stark Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce and President of the Board of the Western Stark Free Clinic. Nancy also serves on the Advisory Board of the Massillon Salvation Army and was a 2015 Finalist for the Athena Award presented by Women's Impact of Stark County. Nancy and her husband Bob have two adult daughters, and two grandchildren.

Dan Sanders, President-Retired

Dan is a current board member of MDF and past President. He has been the President of Progressive Auto group since 1979, retiring in 2014. In 2012 he was the Chairman of the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers Association. He was a past president of the Stark County Auto Dealers Association. Dan and his wife Corinne have been married for 46 years and have three children and 10 grandchildren. Dan enjoys hunting, fishing, mountain biking, working outdoors, taking cruises and spending time with family.

John Harris, Vice Chairman

John began his love for architecture by working as a laborer on small construction projects for his father and as an apprentice carpenter during summers in high school. From there he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.John established his firm over 40 years ago and serves as the Vice Chairman today. SōL Harris/Day Architecture offers architectural services to a wide variety of clients. The firm has built a regional presence and continues to expand in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Illinois, and West Virginia. John is the Vice Chairman of the Stark County Development Board Building Committee and a Board Member of the Stark County Boy Scouts of America.

Bob Yund is a Co- Owner of Yund’s Busy Bee Car Wash. The car wash has been locally owned since 1962 and Bob has been always dedicated to providing the highest quality service and value to his customers. Bob has been a great supporter of Massillon and Stark County. He has been actively involved in a number of community organizations including the Massillon YMCA, United Way, Rotary Club, the Chapel of North Canton, and the Massillon Chamber of Commerce. Bob was responsible for purchasing and restoring the Thomas H Russell Victorian home in Massillon . In doing so he saved the grand residence which was on the National Register of Historic Places and was scheduled to be purchased and broken up into apartments. Mr. Yund holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Adams State College in Colorado

Brian Burrow, President

Brian Burrow is the President of Campbell Oil. Under Brian's leadership the Company has experienced tremendous growth and recently built a new corporate office not far from where the business began in 1939. Campbell Oil Company was established and is headquartered in Massillon, Ohio. The company distributes gasoline, diesel fuels and home heating fuels to the wholesale, commercial, industrial and retail classes of trade. In 1996, Campbell Oil established BellStores, Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary to operate retail facilities that include branded gasoline, convenience stores, car washes and food service operations. BellStores currently operates 50 locations within 12 counties: Ashland, Coshocton, Franklin, Holmes, Knox, Medina, Perry, Richland, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties. Tom Turner is vice president at Mercy Medical Center for business development and community relations. Tom has introduced the Medical Home concept (primary care, dental services and behavioral health) into the market and has been an innovator in expanding satellite operations from six to ten in four counties in the service area.
In addition to his hospital role, since 1998 Tom has continued as an Adjunct Professor at Walsh University in the Deville School of Business MBA program.
Turner holds an MBA in management from Pepperdine University, and a B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University
